Assessment Process

Intake

The assessment process begins with a virtual intake session (approximately 1.5 hours) where I will learn more about the reason you are interested in testing. Questions will focus on academic, developmental, medical, behavioral, and social history in order to help me better interpret the results and provide helpful and tailored recommendations. I will send you a questionnaire to complete before the intake session so our time together can be more focused.

Testing

Testing will take place in a private location of your choosing (in the San Gabriel Valley or Greater Los Angeles area). I also have office space in La Canada, CA. Testing can take approximately 2 - 6 hours depending on the type of tests selected (i.e., achievement, cognitive, neurodevelopmental). Testing should always take place in the morning and weekend times are available. Breaks will be provided as needed.

Feedback and Report

Following the testing session(s), I will score the tests, interpret the results, and write a report. The report will include background information about you or your child, a description of the testing process, the test results (including scores), and recommendations. Standardized scores provide information about grade-level and allow for comparisons with peers. Recommendations will be tailored and client-specific with next steps to follow. The assessment process will end with a virtual feedback session (approximately 1 hour) where I will explain the results and recommendations and answer any additional questions. A copy of the report will be emailed for your convenience.
